I replayed a time when I was living in NY and was obsessed with sewing loungewear and lingerie. I used my lace work skills learned when I was a kid and made weekly Saturday trim and fabric runs to Daytona Trims and Mood.
Waking up to the reality of our new lives at home...I set out on a quest to upgrade my at-home clothes…
I replayed a time when I was living in NY and was obsessed with sewing loungewear and lingerie. I used my lace work skills learned when I was a kid and made weekly Saturday trim and fabric runs to Daytona Trims and Mood.
I figured out what pieces had details I liked and which styles I wore the most.
Fast forward to 2020, and I revisited those skills and styles to freshen up my tired house clothes once again.
I got to work designing a handful of patterns that have all the best from the styles I wore the most in NY (hello pockets and ease). I found suppliers online where I could still get top quality fabrics and trims - even far away from NYC. I relooked at all the sewing skills I used and curated a collection of modern skills that give me the boutique look I want.
Now I look at these beautiful styles I get to wear at home and I can't believe they're mine! And...made by me!

I'VE NEVER SEWN BEFORE, WOULD THIS COURSE BE FOR ME?
Luxe Loungewear is designed for an advanced beginner sewist and beyond. You'll need to have a firm grasp on using your sewing machine and at least a few garments under your belt to really enjoy this course the most! If you've never sewn before, I recommend my foundational sewing course, Stitch Playbook.

WHAT KIND OF SEWING MACHINE DO I NEED?
You'll need a sewing machine that has a straight stitch, backstitch, as well as a zig zag. That's it!

You can certainly sew luxe loungewear with the basic sewing tools you already have, but I WILL be showing you a few cool tools and gadgets I love that will make sewing with laces and delicate fabrics more enjoyable. Soon after finishing the beta launch of Stitch Playbook, the idea for Luxe Loungewear started making itself known in my creative mind. No matter how much I tried to push the idea aside, I couldn't escape the nudges. Afterall, getting dressed everyday - and night - was a constant reminder of how much I needed new clothes for lounging.
